‘I'm so thrilled to have booked Lesley for an online school visit.  She was absolutely wonderful with our Year 5/6 classes, fielding questions and imparting writing wisdom in a warm and friendly way.  As a teacher herself, she held the room captivated the whole time, and was personal and encouraging in her responses to a range of learning needs.  Lesley spoke about her own and other authors' books with such a passion, the children couldn't wait to read further after the event.  If you want to encourage reading and writing in your school, Lesley is the author to book!  We could have chatted all day, and were inundated with messages of praise and thanks from parents after the event.  Already looking forward to our next meet !’

Y6 absolutely loved their virtual author visit with Lesley. Prior to the visit, she was really approachable and organised so I knew the layout of the visit. When Lesley visited us, Y6 were just in awe: she is such a friendly, funny and warm person who had the children captivated as she told us about the inspirations behind her books (and gave us some tantalising teasers about her upcoming book, Fallout). Lesley then read a chapter from Where The River Takes Us, which had the children hooked. After that, she answered many questions from the year group (and Lesley was very patient with the amount of the questions!). She was so lovely with each child and remembered their name when answering, which made them feel very special. Thank you so much Lesley for visiting us and we hope to see you again soon. I would definitely recommend Lesley for a virtual or in-person visit at your school as she has helped us to support the children with reading for pleasure!
